KAIWorks

AI leadership for growing businesses

The AI officer you don't have to hire.

We work out where AI fits across your company, set the plan and lead it with you every month.

Your business is past the kitchen table. You have a team, an office and probably an IT provider who keeps everything running. What you may not have is someone whose job is AI: where it fits, which tools to pay for, what your people may put into them and whether any of it is paying off. Bigger companies hire for that. We do that job for you, part time, for a monthly fee.

Your AI officer, every month: the plan and the rules kept current and a review every quarter.

    From $1,500 a month

The problem

Your people already use AI. Nobody is in charge of it.

Chances are someone on your team already uses ChatGPT for work, on a personal account, with your customers' information in it. You may be paying for Copilot or Gemini seats that nobody has opened. And the two or three places where AI could save hours every week are still done by hand.

Who in your company decides what AI gets used, and for what?

Your IT provider keeps your systems running and secure. Deciding where AI fits in how you sell, schedule, serve and bill is a different job. In a large company it belongs to a chief AI officer. In a company your size it usually belongs to nobody.

That job is what we do. Here is what it looks like month to month.

What your AI officer does

One person who leads AI for your company.

Every month

  • A working session with you and the people who run each part of the business.
  • Your AI plan, kept current: the next 90 days, who owns each step and what it should save.
  • A one-page update: what moved, what it saved and what is next.

Every quarter

  • An AI review, held alongside your IT provider's review, so one plan covers both.
  • On the AI Officer plan, a training session for your team on the tools you have chosen.

Always

  • A one-page AI policy your team can follow: which tools, what may go into them and who approves what goes out.
  • A list of every AI tool in the company, who uses it and what you pay for it.
  • A plain answer when a vendor pitches you something with AI in it.

We work beside your IT provider, not in place of them.

Your IT provider

Accounts, devices, security, backups and licenses.

Where AI fits, which tools, the rules for using them, training and whether it pays off.

How we work

Assess. Build. Partner.

  1. 1

    A first call.

    You and us30 minutesFree

Thirty minutes, no charge. We ask how the business runs and what you want from AI. If this isn't the right time, we tell you.

  2. 2

    The whole-company assessment.

Your people and your IT providerAbout three weeks$2,500, off the first build if we do it

About three weeks. We meet you and up to five of the people who run the work, follow two jobs from start to finish, list the AI your team already uses and talk to your IT provider. You get a written plan: where AI fits in each part of the business, where it doesn't, the first three moves, a draft AI policy and what it all costs. It's yours to keep, whoever carries it out.

  3. 3

    Build.

Us, with your teamOne project at a timeQuoted from your plan

We set up the first projects from your plan, with Kai or with the tools you already have. Each one is quoted before it starts and tried side by side with how you work now.

  4. 4

    Partner.

Your AI officerEvery monthFrom $1,500 a month

Your AI officer every month. We keep the plan moving, keep the rules current and show you what it saved.

You stay in control.

01

Anything we set up waits for a person at your company to approve it before it reaches a customer.

02

We tell you where AI doesn't fit. Every plan names at least one place.

03

We earn nothing from the tools we recommend, except Kai, which is ours. When Kai isn't the right fit, we say so.

04

We keep what we learn about your business confidential, under our agreement with you.

05

We don't give legal advice or certify compliance. Your AI policy is a working document, and your lawyer can review it.

06

You can always reach a real person who knows your business.

Here is what it costs.

Save $6,000 a year

A working session every month, your plan and your AI policy kept current, a written update and a review every quarter.

Founding$3,000/mo
Save $12,000 a year

Everything in AI Advisor, and we lead the projects on your plan, join your leadership meeting every month and train your team every quarter.

Three months to start, then month to month. The founding monthly rate is for the first three companies to sign for AI Advisor or AI Officer, and you keep it for as long as you stay. The founding assessment price is for assessments booked by December 31.

A grant may cover your assessment or a build.

Many owners qualify for small business grants and never apply. Your assessment tells you which ones fit. If you qualify, we help you apply, and we don't take a cut of the grant.

Who we are

KAIWorks is an AI adoption services company for small businesses. For a growing company we do the job a chief AI officer does in a large one: we learn how your business runs, decide with you where AI fits and stay to lead it.

KAIWorks is built and supported in southeastern Connecticut by Dave Brannan. Dave spent 30 years in business technology, helping large companies and the firms that serve them put new systems to work. He served in the U.S. Navy on submarines and ran a small business in Mystic. You work with Dave directly, from the first conversation on.
